Words by the one and only Donnie Hawley.
One thing that I really like about this shop, is how he has tried to keep everything about his shop original. Not just the set up and contents of the shop, but from the techniques, knowledge of barbering history, and principal of the shop. It’s one of those places where you can actually find artisans, and not just hair stylists.
I have yet to make a trip out to one of his shops, but soon enough!
Dickies Eu. made a dope video about Donnie and his shop.
He definitely knows his history about barbering and how it originated. Which is refreshing, as most places don’t really have a story about how barbering itself originated, but how they got into barbering. Also, knowing the meaning of the colors of the barber pole, is just as important as knowing what red, yellow, and green mean to Rastafarians.
